Reflections

How brightly the silver moon shines. Especially tonight it is as clear as day. As I sit here, gazing at the moon in all its beauty and marvel at God beautiful imagination, I can’t help but think that it’s just a reflection. It’s not really full of light, like the sun. In fact it’s just a copy of the sun’s mighty power and light. Then I got to thinking. Isn’t that how we are supposed to be? We are not beautiful, powerful, or full of light. On the contrary we are ugly, weak and full of darkness. But Jesus Christ out Lord and savior is and more so than we could imagine. We are just mere reflections of Christ. As we go about in our daily lives we are supposed live for him and only by giving our lives to Him can we begin to live like Him. Only through him are we beautiful. Only by his power can we do great things. And only by knowing what He has done and give to me can I, a dark and empty person, be filled with His light. The moon is just a cold rock that reflects the suns light. And I am just a cold person who is full of the light I try to reflect. The light of Jesus Christ, He has filled me up.
